Start a usability test in less than 1 minute
Gathering feedback early in the product development process minimizes the risk of building products that people don't enjoy using. Last week we launched two new features to make it easier to run usability tests with Ribbon.

Usability testing is a great way for user researchers and product designers to understand how actual users will experience a prototype or design. By putting a design in the hands of real users, you can get immediate feedback on which elements of the design resonate with users and which need improvements. Screen sharing
Whether you want to get feedback on a new design or see how a user interacts with your website, screen sharing is a great way to see what your users see. When you start a video call with a user on Ribbon, both you and your users can now share your screens.

For more information about how to start screen sharing in a video call, and what browsers are supported, check out this article.
In-call text chat
The principle here is a basic one. The easier you can communicate with and access your users, the better research you can do. Being able to send text messages and share links with the person you're interviewing is often necessary when sharing a design or prototype. We've now made it possible to chat with interview participants straight through an in-call chat! When you connect to a video call, you'll see a new button amongst your video controls.

That's all for now! Hope you enjoy the new features and find Ribbon easier to use for talking with your users! Happy interviewing!
