Announcing Our First Investment Round

To help us on our mission to make it super simple for product teams to gather qualitative insights directly from their own users, I'm excited to share that we've raised our first round of funding.

Announcing Our First Investment Round

Building good products is hard. It’s not enough to make high-quality software. What you build also needs to be useful for your users.

Even for modern product teams, understanding how users will perceive a design or feature can be both difficult and time-consuming. We have to either make decisions based on low-fidelity, often heavily biased, survey results or spend days pre-screening and recruiting potential research participants for user interviews.

It shouldn’t be this way. Setting up a conversation with the right user shouldn’t mean death-by-email. It should be as easy as clicking a button. You shouldn’t have to wait for days before you can have a meaningful conversation with one of your users. It should take a couple of seconds.

As user researchers and product builders, we want tools that make it easier to have rich conversations with our users and understand their problems. Tools that get us closer to actionable insights and don’t get in our way. Tools that make it easy to coordinate and share research across teams to help us build products that solve the right problem in the right way.

With Ribbon, we’re building the user research platform we wished we had as product builders. To help us on our mission to make it super simple for product teams to gather qualitative insights directly from their users, I’m excited to share that we’ve raised our first round of funding. We’re backed by some great investors, including MMC Ventures and RLC Ventures.
