Organise your user interviews with projects
The need to filter and organise your research data is something we've increasingly felt in our own ongoing user and product research at Ribbon. Almost every user we speak to struggles with this in one form or another.

As a product & user researcher, it can be easy to drown in data. Transcripts, video recordings, memorable quotes - as soon as we've spoken to a few users, we suddenly have an abundance of data (and hopefully some insights) about our users' opinions, thoughts and product-related feedback.
Without good tools and processes for structuring and analysing our research data, we quickly become overwhelmed. What feedback should I relay to the rest of my team, and what can we discard? Identifying what information is relevant to your research goals is essential in doing useful product research and discovery.
The need to filter and organise your research data is something we've increasingly felt in our own ongoing user and product research at Ribbon. Almost every user we speak to struggles with this in one form or another. Until now, user interviews on Ribbon have been shown in a chronological feed on the dashboard. This is great for quickly accessing your team's latest interview sessions but quickly becomes unmanageable once your whole team is up to speed talking to users through the platform. There hasn't really been a way to quickly access data relating to specific research topics or initiatives.
To make it easier to organise and collaborate on your user research on Ribbon, we've today launched projects. Projects are simply a way to group research sessions you complete on Ribbon. To start a new project, simply head to the new Projects section in your dashboard:

Here, you can see all your team's ongoing projects and easily access completed sessions relating to a specific project:

The most recent projects in your team are also accessible directly from your dashboard, making it easy to quickly access and stay on top of the latest research across your team.
The addition of projects marks an increased focus on making it easier to gain actionable insights from the research you conduct on Ribbon. Projects will be a space where you can centralise all your learnings and insights related to specific research initiatives, ranging from ongoing continuous conversations with users to time-limited usability tests of particular features.
We hope it's useful in your research. Happy interviewing!
